One of British Line Islands on Central Pacific Ocean (South from Hawaii) Part of British Colony of Gilbert and Ellice Islands till 1979. Emergency issue due to Australian currency shortage. The notes were withdrawn in 1945. Later cut in half with corners clipped and reused as movie admission tickets. Complete (uncut) notes are rare.
