• Monetary union, 1960-1974, (Central African States from 1974) of former French colonies in Central Africa, (French Equatorial Africa, till 1960). Country of issue is identified by the printed code letter (1961-1971). Banknotes issued between 1971 and 1992 had common designs and carry full country name. They are listed under specific country:
  • A - Chad
  • B - Central African Republic
  • C - Congo
  • D - Gabon
  • * - Cameroon (associate member), 1960-1962 and 1972-1974
